This is a great fantasy Style with alot
of Glitter. |

| |
| 1.) Create a New file, 800
X 600 pixels at 225 ppi. Press D on the keyboard to set the Foreground
color to black. Now, press Alt+Backspace to fill the Background
layer with black. |
| |
2.) Press X on the keyboard to switch
the Foreground color to white. Select the Horizontal Type
tool .
The font used is Scriptina Regular 55px Smooth. (In the Options
bar, you will need to type in 55 at the Size input box.) Now, click
on the work area and type your text. |

3.) Select the Move Tool
to commit Type and Click+Drag on text to center.
|
| |
| 4.) Next, Go to Edit
> Free Transform (Ctrl+T). In the H box (located
at top of program) enter 120 and text will expand appropriately. |

| |
|
5.) Click+Drag inside transform
box to reposition to center. Now, Double-Click inside box to apply
transformation. |
| |
6.) Go to Window
> Styles to open the Styles palette (if
not visible). In the Styles palette, locate
the style named Fairydust 
and click on it to apply effects. Go to Step 7. |

| (Alternately, you may apply settings
manually by following Steps 6a thru 6f

6a.)
Go to Layer > Layer Style
> Pattern Overlay... and the Layer Style palette
will open. Click the downward triangle next to the Pattern window
to open the Pattern-Picker. Select the pattern named Fairydust.
(If the library is different than the image below, open the Pattern-Picker
and click triangle 
at the top right corner and a pop-out menu will appear. Select
KS Patterns. A message box will appear,
just click OK and the correct library will load.) Now, keep this
palette open for the next few Steps. |

6b.) Next, Click the
Stroke tab. Change the Fill Type to Pattern.
Click the downward triangle next to the Pattern window to open
the Pattern-Picker. Select the pattern named Fairydust.
Adjust Size to 1px.

6c.) Now, click the Color Overlay
tab. Click the color well and when the Color-Picker appears,
enter #FFFFFF at the bottom input box then click OK to close.
Adjust Opacity to 22%.

6d.)
Next, click the Bevel and Emboss tab. Click
the downward arrow next to the Gloss Contour window to open
the Contour-Picker. Find the contour named Fairydust1,
then Double-Click it to select and close the library. Click
the first color well and when the Color-Picker appears, enter
#FFFF00 at the bottom input box then click OK to close. Click
the second color well and when the Color-Picker appears, enter
#00FFFF at the bottom input box then click OK to close. Now,
adjust Shadow Mode Opacity to 100%.

| 6e.) Under the Bevel
and Emboss tab- Click on the Texture
tab. Click the downward triangle next to the Pattern window to
open the Pattern-Picker. Select the pattern named Fairydust.

| Next, let's add a little bit of Outer
Glow to rough the edges a bit. |
| 6f.) Click the Outer
Glow tab. Click the color well and when the Color-Picker
appears, enter #009966 at the bottom input box then click OK to
close. Click the downward arrow next to the Contour window to open
the Contour-Picker. Find the contour named Fairydust2,
then Double-Click it to select and close the library. Follow with
the rest of the settings below. When you are finished, click the
OK button to close the Layer Style palette. |

Next, go to Layer >
Rasterize > Type. Select the
Eraser tool
and carry over the work area on the right half, then Right-Click
to open the Brush-Picker. Select the Hard Round 19px brush, then
erase the Dot to the letter I. (If the library is different than
the image below, click the triangle
at the top right corner and a pop-out will appear. Select Reset
Brushes. A message box will appear, just click OK and the
correct library will load.) |

8.) In the Layers
palette... click on the Create a new layer button
to create a new blank layer. Now, on the Type layer, drag the Effects
bar and drop on the work area. (This will apply the styles settings
instantly to our new layer!) |

9.) Select the
Brush tool
. Carry over the work area and Right-Click to open the Brush-Picker.
Click the triangle
at the top right corner and a pop-out menu will appear. Select KS
Assorted Brushes. A message box will appear, just click OK
and the correct library will load. Select the brush named Star1.
Click a few places over text. (All the effects will be applied to
the brush as you paint). You may have to click two or three times
to get enough color. If you make a mistake, just select the Eraser
tool
and remove. I also added a few sprinkles at the end of the letter
T with the Hard Round 3px brush. (With the Brush
tool
selected, Right-Click on the work area to open the Brush-Picker,
then select the 3px brush.) Now, add the sprinkles. |

10.) When you are happy
with the results, click on the Create a new layer
button
again to create a new blank layer. Right-Click on the work area
to open the Brush-Picker. Select the Star1
brush and click over some of the first set of stars added. |

| 11.) In the Layers
palette adjust the Opacity slider down to 26% or so. We just want
to accent and brighten the first set a bit. |
| |
|
|
| |
12.) Time now to add
the twinkles. In the Layers palette... click
on the Create a new layer button .
In the Tool palette, Click on the Foreground
color well and the Color-Picker will open. Choose some vibrant
color. Right-Click on the work area to open the Brush-Picker.
Adjust the Diameter of the brush to 30px and click on Text in
several places. Change Foreground colors three or four times and
repeat clicking on Text to complete image. |

13.) Final step. Let's finish
by brightening our work a bit. Go to Layer >
Flatten Image. Now, go to Image
> Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast...
and when the pop-up appears move the slider on Contrast
to +10.
