FANCY TEXT

This Style demonstrates the neat Effect strong Contours can have in fancy Text.

1.) Create a New file, 800 X 600 pixels at 225 ppi on a white background. Now, press D on the keyboard to set the Foreground color to black.

2.) Select the Horizontal Type tool and in the Options bar, select Real Virtue Regular 130pt Sharp. (Type in 130 in the input box for pt size.)

Click on the work area and type your text. Select the Move tool to commit. (The characters are a bit too close at this stage and we will fix this next.)

3.) Go to Window > Character and when the palette appears... change the tracking of the characters to 50, then close the palette. Click+Drag on text to reposition to center if needed.

4.) Go to Window > Styles to open the Styles palette (if not visible.) In the Styles palette... find the style named Fancy and click on it to apply effects. That's all there is to it, done!

(Alternately, you may apply settings manually by following Steps 4a thru 4f below.)
4a.) In the Layers palette... click on the Add a layer style button and when the pop-out menu appears, select Color Overlay... and the Layer Style palette will open. Click the color well and when the Color-Picker appears, enter #FF00FF at the bottom input box then click OK to close. Keep this palette open for the next few steps.

A message box will appear, just click OK and the correct library will load.)

Adjust Scale to 323%.
