MOTION SHADOW TEXT

Here's a easy way to add movement to shadow.

1.) In Photoshop... Press D, then X to switch the Background Color swatch to Black. Now, create a new file. Go to File > New. Make it 800X 400 pixels at 300 dpi in RGB Mode on Background Color. (This will Create the file with a black background.)

2.) Click on the Foreground Color swatch and the Color-Picker will appear. Now, enter #999999 at the Bottom input box then click OK to apply.

3.) Select the Horizontal Type tool then go to the Options bar and Select a font. ( I used Matisse ITC Font at 48 pt Sharp.) Any font will do.

Now, Select the Move tool and Drag text to Center.

4.) Go to the Layers palette and Right-Click on the Type layer and a pop-up menu will appear. Select Rasterize Layer.

5.) Press Ctrl+J to Duplicate Layer. Now, go to Filter > Pixelate > Fragment. Apply this two more times by using Ctrl + F.

6.) Now on to transform the effect. Press Ctrl + T to bring on the Free Transform bounding box.

Go to the Options bar and set Width and Height to 125% each, then press Enter twice to commit change.

7.) Press Ctrl+E to Merge Type layers together. Now to colorize the Text. Press Ctrl+U to activate the Hue/Saturation palette. Click the Colorize checkbox and move the Hue slider to a color of your preference. Adjust Saturation slider as well if needed, then hit OK. (I adjusted to 176, 50, 0.)
