| This Tutorial will add a Crazy Outline to Text. |

| |
| 1.) We'll first start
with setting the two initial Colors. Click the Background Color
swatch to Open the Color-Picker. |
| |

| |
| Enter #660000 at the Bottom input box,
then click OK to apply. |
| |
|
| |
| Next, click the Foreground Color swatch
and change to #FF3300. With the Foreground/Background Colors in
place, We can now begin. |

| 2.) Create a New Document.
Go to File > New. Make it 800
X 300 pixels at 300 dpi in RGB mode on Background Color. The File
will be Created with a Brown Background already in place. |

3.) Select the Horizontal
Type tool .
Go to the Options bar and Select a font. I used Nasalization 160
pt Sharp. (You will have to enter 160 at the input box manualy for
size.) |

Now, click on the work area and Type
your text. Select the Move tool ,
then Drag text to Center. |

| 4.) Hold the Ctrl
key and click on the Type layer in the Layers palette
to Create a Selection around text. |

| |
5.) In the Layers
palette... click the Background layer now to Select, then click
the Create a new layer button
to generate a New blank layer Above this layer. |

| 6.) Next, go to Select
> Modify > Expand.
A pop-up box will appear, enter 5 then click OK to apply and the
Selection will move Outward. |

| 7.) Select the Foreground
Color swatch and change Color to #990000. Now, press Ctrl+Backspace
to Fill Selection. |

8.) Next, click on
the Background layer to Select, then click the Create a
new layer button
once again to Create a New blank layer. |

| 9.) With the Selection
still active... go to Select > Modify
> Expand. Enter 2 in the box, then
click OK to apply and the Selection will expand once again. |

| 10.) Click the Foreground
Color swatch and change to #FFFFFF. Now, press Ctrl+Backspace
to Fill and then use Ctrl+D to Deselect Selection. |

| 11.) Now, for the
real punch! Go to Layer > Layer Style
> Outer Glow. When the Layer Style
palette appears, set Size to 35 px, then click the Downward arrow
to the Right of the Contour window to Open the Contour-Picker.
Select the contour named Ring - Double,
then click OK to apply and close the palette. |
