| Helpful Notes: |
| All of the Tutorials use 100% Opacity
unless otherwise specified. Color bars in the Menu can be expanded
or collapsed by clicking the Titles. I have included a separate
Help program enbedded in the Menu titled Help Index.
Clicking it will launch this program in a separate window. It can
help define some of Photoshop's basic functions. |

| Inspirational View- |
| In the summer of 1985, I was enrolled
in college attending classes for a Graphic Arts degree. Up to this
point, all of the art I had ever Created was merely Drawing with
colored pencils. The work was good, but it lacked the realism I
wished to obtain. Then one day in class the instructor instructed
us to go out and get paint and brushes because painting was on the
agenda, Aughhhh! what a sinking feeling my stomach exhibited at
just the thought of those words! It was sheer fear. |
| |
| I knew Nothing about painting and
was not interesting in learning this New activity at all. The first
project entailed scaling a Larger Canvas from a small photo using
grids. Then instead of painting the image as a whole, just blocks
were painted resembling smaller pieces of the photo one at a time
until the image became complete. |
| |
| Well the very first painting ended
up being so much more realistic to anything I had accomplished earlier
that I never returned to just drawing. In my latter years, Drawings
are only used as quick sketches now, the basis for great paintings!
Pandora's box had Opened for me and I had finally found the correct
medium to reveal my soul. |
| |
| My advice here is to keep your mind Open to new things,
you might just be very, very suprised at what you will find! |
| |
| With the invent of the Home PC's, painting
has become so much easier now with no clean-up at the end. Most
of my work is now done digitally. After college I worked 10 years
in the Photography industry extending my skills and now work professionally
as a Technical Writer for a prominent company located in Philadelphia. |
