SHAPE DYNAMICS

The Shape Dynamics panes as with All Dynamic Options... add great variations to the brushes Stroke.

There are three Jitter sliders to add randomness in different ways. These controls offer easy manipulation, which would otherwise take pain staking work to reproduce.

Size Jitter
This slider Increases and Decreases the Size of the brush through out the Stroke.

Size + Angle Jitter
Size and Rotation of the Stroke will be affected. (Notice, a full 360 degree rotation is occurring through out the Stroke.)

Size + Angle + Roundness Jitter
Size, Rotation and Shape of the brush is effected.

The combinations of settings that can be used are almost infinite. In addition to these sliders are three corresponding Drop-Down menus.

Off
With this control is set to Off, the Stroke becomes unregulated. Photoshop will produce the Selected Jitter randomly and through out the length of the Stroke.

Fade
Fade is available with or without a pressure-sensitive tablet. These controls operate in a linear fashion from beginning to end of the Stroke. Use it to taper off the effects of the brush. Once the Size Fade control is Selected, the input box to the Right becomes active and allows the user to manually input values (Steps of Size reduction to the Stroke). The Minimum Diameter slider can be used to fine tune the regulation in size.

Angle Fade allows the user to control the Steps in the Stroke where the Horizontal flip begins and ends.

Roundness Fade changes the Shape of the brush, actually squishing it along the length of the Stroke.

Using this option also comes with an additional Minimum Roundness slider to help regulate the brushes original Shape characteristics.
