| This Tutorial will show you how to
"Particulate" text and add it to an animation. |
| |
|
| |
| 1.) Open Photoshop,
Let's begin by creating a new file. Go to File
> New. Make it 400 X 100 pixels on a white background
at 72 dpi, then click OK. |
| |
2.) Select the
Horizontal Type tool .
Go to the Options bar and Select the font. I used Times
New Roman PS MT Roman 100pt Sharp. (You may have to manually
input 100 px for size.) Next, click on the Color well to the Right
to launch the Color-Picker. |
| |
|
| |
| Select a color or simply type in #990000
at the Bottom input box to select the color I used, then click OK
to apply. |
| |
|
| |
3.) Click on the work
area and type your Text. Select the Move tool
to commit and Drag text to Center. |
| |
|
| |
4.) Next, in the Layers
palette, Right-Click on the text layer and go to Rasterize
Layer. Now, Drag this layer Down to the Create
a new layer button
to Duplicate layer. Repeat process until there are 6
"Copy" layers. |
| The Layers palette
should now look like this: |
| |
|
| |
5.) Now, turn Off
all Eye icons
to "copy" layers and click on First "copy" layer.
(Bar will turn to blue.) Go to Filter > Texture
> Grain. Follow first settings below
and click OK. (Notice I have selected Sprinkles
in the dialog pull-down menu.) |
| |
|
| |
| First change should look similar to
this: |
| |
|
| |
| 6.) Click next layer
UP. Go to Filter > Texture
> Grain. This time adjust Intensity to 29. Repeat
procedure until all layers to the Top are completed increasing Intensity
setting each time respectfully at 40, 55, 72 and 90. |

| The remaining five changed layers are
represented here for compare purposes. |

|
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
|
| |
| Now, Setup the Layers
palette exactly as below: |
| |
|
| |
| We are now ready to move to ImageReady... |
7.) Click on the Edit
in ImageReady button .
(Located at the bottom of the Tool palette.) |
| |
8.) In the Animation
palette, click on the Duplicate Frame button
(located at the bottom of the palette). |
| |
Frame 2 should now
be generated. In the Layers palette, click on the
Eye icon
to the Top layer. (This turns On visibility to this layer and the
Image will change accordingly in Frame 2.) Repeat
duplicating Frames and selecting next Eye icon
Down in the Layers palette until all frames
are completed, being sure to turn Off the Eye icon
to Previous layer selected each time. |
| |
| You should have a total of 8
Frames now in the Animation palette, and
it should look like this: |
| |
|
| |
| 9.) Set time delays.
Set time delay to each frame by clicking on each frame, then clicking
on the 0. |

experiment. Frame 1 (0 sec.), Frame 2-7
(0.2 sec.), Frame 8 (2 sec). |

now ready to play by hitting the play button. (For
a more precise animation speed) click the Preview in Browser
button ,
to view in a browser. |
