| This Tutorial will show you how to
create a live Plasma Pulse to text. |

| |
| 1.) Open
ImageReady. Create a New File. Go to New >
File. Make it 400 X 100 pixels on a Transparent
Background. |

2.) Select the Type
tool .
Go to the Options bar and Select the font. I used Impact
100 px Sharp. (You may have to manually input 100 px for size.)
Next, click on the Color well to the Right to launch the Color-Picker. |

| Select a color or simply type in #6633CC at the Bottom
input box to select the color I used, then click OK to apply. |
| |

| |
3.) Click on the work
area and Type your Text. Select the Move tool
to Commit. Now, use the arrows on the keyboard to Center Text. Next,
in the Layers palette, Right-Click on Type layer
and a pop-out menu will appear. Select Rasterize Layer. |

| 4.) Next, go to Layer
> Layer Style > Satin. The
Layer Style palette will Open. Follow settings
below, then click OK to apply. |

Text should now look similar to this:

| 5.) Go to Layer
> Duplicate Layer. Repeat process until
there a Total of 4 layers. |

6.) Double-Click the
Layer Effects button
and the Layer Style palette will Open. |
| |

| |
| Follow settings below. (Be sure to Select the appropriate
"Contour" each time.) |

| |
7.) Double-Click the
Layer Effects button
on the Next layer Down. Follow settings below. |
| |

| |
8.) Double-Click the
Layer Effects button
on the Next layer Down. Follow settings below. |

| |
9.) Now, click the
Bottom layer to Select and click the Top 3 Eye
icons
to turn Off their visibility. (This sets up the First Frame
of the Animation.) |

| |
10.) Now, in the Animation
palette, click on the arrow
at the Top right corner and a pop-out will appear. Select Make
Frames From Layers. All of the layers will be transformed
to Frames automatically! |

11.) Animation is
now ready to play by hitting the play button. (For
a more precise animation speed) click the Preview in Browser
button ,
to view in a browser. No need to set frame delay times, the faster,
the better. |

| 12.) Optimize
and Save the file with File > Save Optimized
As... Images Only (*.gif) |
